About Neom

In 2020, the Titan Desert cycled in Saudi Arabia for the first time. It was a special race, which showed the beauty of a territory almost unexplored by bicycle and which provided a unique sporting spectacle.

COVID forced us to cancel the 2021 edition. However, the Titan Desert returns to the Kingdom in December and to a new region: NEOM.

It is no coincidence that NEOM derives precisely from the word “new”. NEOM is an idea, a concept that combines progress and future in an area of 26,500 square kilometres. It is projected as one of the largest technological vanguards in the world, and a population 100% self-sufficient in renewable energies.

All this, without losing sight of the spectacular ecosystem on which it is built: the desert, the coast and the native flora and fauna. NEOM seeks to be much more. To redefine the way in which 21st century cities are conceived.

This perspective will be transferred to the race. Participants will enjoy top-level infrastructures and comfort. They will ride over 400 kilometres against a unique backdrop.

The Line.

The future of urban living

THE LINE is a civilizational revolution that puts humans first, providing an unprecedented urban living experience while preserving the surrounding nature. It redefines the concept of urban development and what cities of the future should look like.

No roads, cars or emissions, it will run on 100% renewable energy and 95% of land will be preserved for nature. People’s health and wellbeing will be prioritized over transportation and infrastructure, unlike traditional cities. Only 200 meters wide, but 170 kilometers long and 500 meters above sea level.

THE LINE will eventually accommodate 9 million people and will be built on a footprint of just 34 square kilometers. This will mean a reduced infrastructure footprint, creating never-before-seen efficiencies in city functions. The ideal climate all-year-round will ensure that residents can enjoy the surrounding nature. Residents will also have access to all facilities within a five-minute walk, in addition to high-speed rail – with an end-to-end transit of 20 minutes.

Trojena will be an iconic, world-class destination, blending natural and developed landscapes – and offering unique human-centric experiences for residents and visitors alike. The destination will house six distinctive development districts centered around tailored experiences that blend real with virtual architectural and engineering innovations. Trojena is part of NEOM’s regional plan, located 50km from the Gulf of Aqaba coast in the heart of our nature region – with elevations ranging from 1,500m to 2,600m and covering an area of nearly 60 square kilometers.

Capitalizing on the different climate in the area, where winter temperatures drop below zero celsius and year-round temperatures are generally 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the region – with its clear fresh air and stunning views, Trojena will not only be a mesmerizing place to visit, but also a magical place to live and work.
